Soaking the rice in water is one of the key steps in making biryani in pressure cooker. It helps in keeping the rice intact while cooking without becoming mushy. My Hubby loves Biryani so much. So I make biryani often at home.

Instructions to make Mutton biryani in pressure cooker:
  1. First wash and soak the rice in water
  2. In a pressure cooker add oil,mutton,salt, turmeric,whole spices and stir for 5 mintues
  3. Add in 3 cup of water (use the same cup used to measure the rice) and pressure cook it for 3 whistle
  4. Take the stock and mutton out
  5. In the same cooker add oil,green chillies,ginger garlic paste and onion and stir well
  6. Add in tomatoes and cook until it's little mushy
  7. Add in the masala powder
  8. Add in soaked rice and mix well
  9. Add in the stock Water and Coriander and pressure cook it for 2 whistle
  10. Your mutton biryani is ready and serve hot!!!
