  1. Get 1/2 kg Country Chicken washed twice using turmeric powder

  6. Prepare 1 Green Chilli slit

  10. Make ready 1 tsp Coriander powder
  11. Make ready 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  12. Take -as per your taste Salt
  13. Make ready as required Water-
  14. Make ready as needed Coriander leaves few
  15. Get For Masala Powder:-
  16. Get 1 tsp Peppercorns
  17. Prepare 1/4 tsp Fennel seeds
  18. Prepare 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  19. Take 1/4 tsp Poppy seeds
Steps to make Pepper Chicken:
  1. Dry roast the ingredients given under masala powder and grind to a fine powder.
  2. In a cooker, add oil. Once oil gets heat, add mustard seeds. Let it splutter.
  3. Add shallots, curry leaves and green chilli. Saute till shallots becomes translucent.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 mins.
  5. Add tomatoes and turmeric powder. Saute till tomatoes becomes mushy.
  6. Add chicken, coriander powder, garam masala, grounded masala powder and salt. Saute till chicken loses out its water and water gets dried.
  7. Add required water and let it cook for 10 whistles. After pressure goes off open the lid. If it has more water let it boil. You can also add pepper powder according to your taste. You can make it dry or gravy.
  8. Transfer to a bowl. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with Roti, Chapathi, Parotta and Dosa.
